Dr. John T. Gallo – is President of Xadair Technologies, Inc. (XTI) in Jacksonville, FL. John’s technical areas include electronic warfare, directed energy, and laser systems and components. His work involves designing, developing and deploying analog and digital fiber optic links in vehicle-borne defense systems and RF system development for COMINT/ISR applications. Prior to starting XTI in 2005, John was Vice President of Business Development at Phasebridge, Inc. a start-up company providing rugged RF-optical component assemblies for the defense and aerospace markets. Before joining Phasebridge in January 2005, Dr. Gallo was Director of Defense Programs at Bookham, Inc., a global opto-electronic component and sub-system company. Prior to joining Bookham, John was Vice President of Advanced Programs at Optical Crosslinks. Optical Crosslinks was a startup company and developer of polymer waveguides and devices. From 1997 to 2000, Dr. Gallo was Director of Optical Technology at BAE Systems. From 1995 to 1997, John was a lead engineer with Harris Government Communications Systems Division, where he developed analog fiber optic applications for airborne and space applications. Prior to joining Harris, John held post-doctoral research positions at University of Colorado working in liquid crystals and Osaka University (Japan) working in waveguide second harmonic generation. Dr. Gallo is a licensed Professional Engineer and a member of IEEE.
